Who was Chuck Taylor.
Charles Hollis "Chuck" Taylor was an American basketball player as well as a shoe salesman evangelist. He is best known for his association with the Chuck Taylor All-Stars sneaker. The most successfully selling basketball shoe in history. He also managed and played for the Converse All-Stars, the company’s traveling basketball team, which was mostly responsible for promoting the company’s now-iconic All Star basketball shoes. He eventually left the company team. But continued to promote the shoe he helped to create, as well as his own personal brand. Taylor was so popular that the ankle patch with his name was added to the shoe design in 1932. From then on the shoes were known as Chuck Taylor All Stars.
